Royal Welsh 09: Auto Quad Gate with two-way latch

How’s this for a clever idea? Auto Quad Gate, made by Northern Irish firm Exact Engineering and by Modulamb, was one of the highly-commended entries in the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society’s Alban Davies machinery awards. It has a two-way auto-latch that means you can use the weight of the ATV to tip the gate before driving over it. A spring then brings it back upright. It costs £395 and it could be ideal at lambing time when you’re going backwards and forwards a lot.
