Swish new cab for six-row Grimme Rexor 6300 beet harvester
Grimme’s latest six-row Rexor 6300 sugar beet harvester has a new X11 cab reckoned to be the quietest on the market.
As well as better sound insulation, operators have been treated to an air-conditioned seat that can swivel through 30deg for a better view when unloading the 45cu m bunker, new foot rests, and extra storage options including a mobile phone holder and a drinks cooler.
Also part of the revamped spec are USB charging ports, twin sun blinds, and dual-zone climate control.

Manoeuvring the machine is said to be easier too, with heated, electronically adjustable rear view mirrors and a fancy LED light package that switches on and off according to speed.
Opting for the “sideview” camera kit adds two additional cameras (left and right) at the rear.
These, and the standard reversing cameras, are fully integrated into its SmartView video system, where their feeds can be viewed simultaneously.
The Rexor can also be specced with the new isobus IBX 200 control unit on the left armrest.
This is equipped with two joysticks and a selection of assignable buttons, with their settings displayed on a 7.8in monitor.
Grimme says the IBX 200 is mainly designed for the overloading process during harvesting or for unloading at the clamp and is easily folded up when entering or exiting the cab.
New drive layout
Other tweaks include a redesign of the motor drive layout to ease servicing and maintenance, and better engine cooling.
Altering the motor unit means access to the bunker is now to the side of the ring elevator, which apparently makes it safer to carry out work on both it and the engine.
The Rexor also features the Speedtronic Cruise Control function, which actively adjusts forward speed based on the selected driving mode and the crop load through different parts of the harvester.
Combined with the standard Speedtronic, which automatically varies the speed of the conveying and cleaning unit, it means the machine is almost completely autonomous during lifting operations.
