Improved down-pressure adjustment for Grimme Matrix drill

Grimme has released additional features for the new-generation Matrix precision seeder, including hydraulic down-pressure adjustment and individual unit lift to create tramlines.
The latest version of the Matrix, a mechanical seeder available in 12- and 18-row sizes, was introduced last autumn.
I has lighter but stiffer arms for the parallel linkage that carries each unit to save weight and increase rigidity.
Also added are a new seed counting and blockage detecting sensor now mounted internally, and row spacings of either 45cm or 50cm with conventional or mulch seeding setups.

Downforce adujstment
With the addition of the hydraulic adjustment option, operators can alter seeding unit downforce from the tractor cab infinitely rather than manually in 30kg stages up to the 120kg maximum.

The pressure on units running in tractor wheelings can be set 20% higher than the setting chosen for all the others.
The ability to lift selected units to leave unsown strips as tramlines is another possibility with the hydraulics package.
These functions are performed through the Grimme Digital Interface display and operated by the tractor’s load-sensing or double-acting hydraulic supply.
An optional telematics unit can transmit data from the Matrix drills to the MyGrimme cloud portal, which now has the new sections.
“Fields” for field-related documentation and “Crops” for capturing and documenting data by different varieties.
