Non-rot polyethylene fence posts launched
Irish company JFC Manufacturing has launched a range of polyethylene fence posts which, it says, will not rot, decay, shrink or decompose.
The end strain assemblies involve a combination of kiln-dried treated timber and a rotationally moulded polyethylene outer. This, says the company, ensures the timber is completely encapsulated once capped and can be driven into the ground by conventional means.
A complete system can be bought for ends and corners including brackets and straining cables. This is said to give the fence a strong structural base to work from and hollow posts can then be used to maintain the line of the wire fence.
The hollow posts are suited to electric fencing systems and insulators can be screwed to the stake as carriers.
Prices start at £3.95 for a repair stake. The corner assembly (pictured) with all the parts costs £110. The company’s UK base is in Oswestry, Shropshire.
