Lamma 2018: Weaving Top Soiler good at all depths

A tractor-mounted implement for loosening compacted soil structures will be unveiled by Weaving Machinery.

The LD Top Soiler is designed to work with equal effectiveness at very shallow depth for remedial treatment of soils otherwise managed in a no-till or min-till regime, and at deeper depths to 228mm.

Its tine layout and design aim to lift the soil while maintaining profile structure, to help preserve soil nutrients and retain moisture, claims the company.

The relatively narrow spacing of the carbide-tipped loosening tines ensures soil movement and fracturing across the full width of the machine, which will be available in four sizes from 3m to 6m with all but the smallest folding for transport.

Construction is from high-grade steel with a heavy-duty frame, carbide-faced loosening legs and lifting wings, and shear bolt leg protection.
