Lamma 2018: Claas extends Torion loader options
New options for muck loading, silage clamping and grain handling come with the UK launch of the Claas Torion range of wheeled loaders – seven models in all covering 5t to almost 20t operating weights and practical load capacities from 3.5t to 12t.
Sourced from Liebherr, the 68hp 639 and 535 have hydrostatic drive, while the three mid-range machines have 167hp motors and three-range hydrostatic drive, which Claas calls Varipower to connect them with its telescopic handlers.

Similarly, CMatic (the same as for Claas CVT tractors) is the name given to the hydro-mechanical powersplit transmission that mobilises the top two machines in the range – the 195hp Torion 1812 and 228hp 1914.
Features include lift and lower limits to make life easier during repeat loading or handling cycles, and a bucket return function to save having to manually position the attachment every time.
