Lamma 2012: Horsch to launch two new drills
Horsch UK says it will launch two new drills at LAMMA. The Horsch MiniDrill and DuoDrill are designed to extend the company’s existing cultivation equipment range, making them suitable for both first-time and existing customers.
The MiniDrill can be fitted to the Joker and Terrano cultivators, including the new Terrano MT launched at Agritechnica. It is a compact unit consisting of a hopper and electric fan to blow the seed to the ground in front of the tyre packer, thereby ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. It’s available in 3m-6m working widths and has a 200-litre seed hopper.
The DuoDrill is a fully pneumatic seed drill that is available for the Tiger or Pronto. It has the company’s Drill Manager system that is said to be ideal for sowing rape and catch crops. The DuoDrill places the seed in front of each packer tyre for exact consolidation in a one-pass cultivation and sowing operation. A 300-litre hopper is fitted and working widths between 3m and 7.5m are available.
Horsch UK says it will also be displaying the Terrano MT cultivator, designed for UK conditions, at LAMMA.
