Kuhn will use this year’s Grassland UK event to demo a number of new grassland products, including an extension of its range of trailed rotor rakes.
The GA 8121 Gyrorake, which operates at widths of between 7.4m and 8m, can be configured to produce swathes up to 2m in width. Because it has a four-wheel pivoting undercarriage under each rotor coupled with a 3D suspension system, it’s ideal for working on undulating ground, says Kuhn.
The rotor size has been increased to 3.5m with 12 arms and four tines per arm, improving performance and two large wheels with headstock-guided steering system and hydraulic folding enable easy transport.
The French-machinery company will also present its Fast-Fit quick release blade system for mowers and mower conditioners. Claiming to reduce the time taken to change blades to just 10 seconds, the set-up just needs one tool to unlock the combination of the spring plate and independent securing pin.
Grassland UK takes place at Shepton Mallet Showground, Somerset on Thursday 7 May.
