John Deere and Michelin hunt for Europe’s best tractor driver
Sixteen tractor drivers from across Europe once again have the chance to test their skills as John Deere and Michelin host the European Drivers’ Championship in June .
John Deere says the goal of the event is to demonstrate how well-trained operators can save time and money by selecting the appropriate settings for relevant tasks.
Eight brand new John Deere 6250R tractors with the CommandPRO joystick will be used for the competition.

The test site has 19 tracks and is 41km long with a mix of field and road challenges, with the main aim to complete the course in the quickest time.
However, the scoring also takes into account fuel consumption, soil compaction and driving skill.
Operators who feel they have what it takes should apply at lightstrongsmart.com and then attract as many “likes” as possible on their social media platforms.
The 16 candidates with the most likes will be invited to Michelin’s technology centre in Clermont-Ferrand, France to compete.
