JF-Stoll shows new front-mounted GXF mowers

JF-Stoll will be showing a new generation of front-mounted mower conditioners at next month’s Scotgrass 2010 event at Dumfries.

The GXF has a new suspension system – Contour Float – which is claimed to give exceptionally good ground contour-following abilities, even on difficult ground conditions.

The new suspension system allows 12deg of sideways inclination, a total vertical movement of 55cm and a 16deg of tilt forwards and backwards.

The cutting unit is suspended and trailed in a headstock so if it hits protruding stones it can move backwards and upwards. The cutterbar sits low compared to many on the market, says the company, which makes it possible to achieve a low and clean stubble.

A strong full-width guide shoe covers the whole width of the cutter bar and the GXF also has JF-Stoll’s Quick’n Safe discs and PE conditioner.

Power requirement is about 90hp, but the GXF is likely to be used in combination with rear mounted/trailed units so it has been built to accommodate tractors up to 300hp. The driveline is via a centrally mounted gearbox with both clockwise and anticlockwise rotation as standard and 1000rpm on tap. Cost of the GXF 3205P is ÂŁ13,725
