We’re hunting down the best in-cab gadgets – could yours win?
When you’re spending umpteen hours at the wheel of tractor each day you need a lot more than the rantings of the Jeremy Vine show to keep the boredom at bay.
But unless you’re lucky enough to have the latest high-tech cab with goodies like DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity, you need to get a little creative.
We’ve heard of people hooking up TVs, DVD players (obviously only for use when they’re safely parked on the headland) and even games consoles.

Some people have also got pretty clever with more up-to-date gadgets, like in-cab wi-fi to make sure they never miss streaming a Lions game.
Then there are the catering facilities – fridges to keep your drinks cool and 12V ovens to keep your pasty piping hot. Not forgetting the Fray-Bentos-on-the-manifold trick.
But how have you set your tractor cab up to help wile away the hours?
New series
At Farmers Weekly we’re launching a new series looking at the best gear people have found or made to make life in their tractor cab a bit more pleasant.
It could be as simple as a clever bracket for mounting a tablet to a full-on entertainment system – we’re keen to see them all and hear how you did it.
All you need to do is to send us a picture of your cab and tell us a few words about what you’ve done. We’ll be publishing pictures of the best ones and if it’s really good we’d like to come and see it.
There are plenty of ways to get involved. You can message us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or simply send an email to fwmachinery@rbi.co.uk.
