Case unveils new 8.5m combine header for controlled traffic farming
Case-IH has added an 8.5m option to its Axial Flow combine header range to suit those working in controlled traffic systems.
The new Varicut table is designed to slot into an 8m system, using an extended version of the 7.5m model’s frame to save weight.
Case says it has a working width of 8.53m, so will comfortably provide a repeatable 8m cut.

Grain headers will also feature a new crop lifter, which has been designed to reduce losses by raising the lifting profile to better pick up lodged crop.
Elsewhere, combines manufactured from February 2020 will meet Stage 5 emissions regulations for the EU region.
There will be new model numbering for the mid-range combines to reflect the change, with the 140 series being rebadged as the 150.
The 7150 model will also get a power increase, moving from a rated boost power of 402hp to 413hp and a peak power of 453hp, compared with its current 442hp.
