Positive results widen Chaff Deck trial

Following a successful lone trial in 2017, the Chaff Deck combine attachment has been rolled out to a further four UK farms for the 2018 harvest.

The Australian weed catcher was on Jeremy Durrant’s Claas Lexion 780 last year when Farmers Weekly visited him, and he has kept it fitted for the current harvest.

Additional farms that have bolted the deck into place are Flawborough Farms in Nottinghamshire, Foxburrow Farms in Norfolk, Courteenhall Farms in Northamptonshire and Davison & Co (Great Barford) in Bedfordshire.

Encouraging results from these growers could see the Chaff Deck become commonplace on farms in the coming years.
