New Holland introduces its highest capacity combine yet

The battle to build the highest output combine harvester is hotting up, with New Holland set to launch its biggest machine yet.

Details are still thin on the ground, but we understand the new model has been some 10 years in development and shares few components with the current CR10.90 flagship.

It does still use a twin-rotor threshing setup, but the rotors are larger and offer considerably greater throughput.

Other promised perks include reduced fuel consumption, lower grain losses and improved grain quality. There will also be more technology on-board, and, unsurprisingly, it will offer higher levels of automation.

The combine is being built at the firm’s Zedelgem factory in Belgium and will be officially unveiled at Agritechnica.
