Harvest Cruz holidays follow US custom combining crews

Fancy experiencing the US custom harvest without having to spend months working away from home?

For the 2025 season, Harvest Support USA UK is organising two seven- to 10-day trips that will “chase” combine crews as they work their way up through the southern and midwestern states.

The first of these Harvest Cruz tours will take place in June as the harvest is getting into full swing. Participants will begin in Denver, Colorado, before travelling in small groups by minivan or large 4×4 to catch combines working in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Several crews will be visited during this time and there will be opportunities to go to agricultural dealerships and other attractions such as the Twister, Boot Hill and Inman museums.

The second tour, in September, will catch the corn and soya bean harvests.

This will begin in Omaha, Nebraska, and will have a flexible itinerary that could include visits to the Husker Harvest Days show, John Deere, Case IH and Agco factories and Claas America.

Tours are priced at £2,500 a person, including hotels (based on two people sharing), all transport and expert guiding throughout.

Participants will need to book their own flights which, according to the firm, cost about £600.
