Lincolnshire-based dealer Willow Farm Machinery was showing off a new grassland subsoiler built by engineer James Richardson.

The Sub Slitter machine was developed following customer requests for a machine that would aerate soils at depth without damaging the surface and uses custom-built legs with narrow wings to avoid surface disturbance. A rear ballast roller is set back from the legs to allow the soil to settle before pressing and has toothed side plates to keep it keep turning in damp conditions.

Prices start at £6,850 for the base 2.5m, 3-leg machine and the largest 3m, 5-leg machine with auto-reset will set you back £11,850.
