Lynx introduces Duvelsdorf pasture grooming kit

New brand, new product range – equipment manufacturer and distributor Lynx Engineering is supplying a selection of grass maintenance implements and other products from German company Duvelsdorf, a new name on the farming scene in Britain and Ireland.

Located in the town of Ottersberg, half an hour east of Bremen in north-west Germany, the family-owned business makes pasture grooming rakes and rollers, and silage, tillage and seeding products, which Lynx is now distributing through its UK and Ireland dealer networks.

Lynx managing director Nick Ewbank says: “In the six months or so that we’ve been marketing and supplying Duvelsdorf products in Ireland, we have seen a great deal of interest reflected in a growing order book.”

The grassland maintenance range comprises the Green Rake Classic in 3m, 6m and 8m sizes deploying four rows of 10mm flexible tines at 75mm spacing between front and rear levelling bars. It is priced at £6,105.

Green Rake Expert versions go to 9m wide and are built up in 1.5m sections to more effectively follow ground contours.

Spring tine-mounted levelling paddles at the front and pneumatic support wheels at the back determine the pressure on the three rows of tines, which are spaced at a more intensive 50mm apart and can be adjusted through four angles to set how aggressively they tackle thatch, weeds and the soil surface.

A levelling bar on parallel linkage with adjustable pressure brings up the rear, while a seed broadcasting package provides the opportunity to top-up tired swards as they are groomed. Prices start at £23,805.

The Expert is also equipped to tow Duvelsdorf’s Terra Roller Expert, a trailed triple-section roller with cast plain and serrated rings, to complete levelling, raking, seeding and rolling operations in one go.

This approach can also be provided by the Green Rake Combi, which combines a three-row rake in 3m, 4.5m and 6m widths and a ring roller on the one tractor-mounted frame.
