Kubota grows its small loading shovel range
Kubota has refreshed its two smallest articulated wheeled loaders – R070 and R090 – by giving them a thorough redesign, a fully enclosed cab and new control layout.
Details are thin on the ground at this stage, but the smaller R070 gets 50hp from the 2.6-litre, 4-pot Kubota DI engine, while the bigger brother generates 64hp from the same block.
Both benefit from a new DPF that has longer service intervals and stage V is also met.

There’s an electronically controlled two-speed hydrostatic transmission, as well as front and rear diff locks. Hydraulic flow rate sits at 67 l/min on the larger model.
Lifting specs are fairly impressive from the small loader – at full lock the tipping load is 3,020kg and it will reach to a maximum height of 3,230mm. The is also a new loader arm design to help the operator see hydraulic quick-couple pins from the cab.
However, it’s in the cab where a digital LCD display, a fully suspended seat and tilting steering wheel have all been added to improve day-to-day living.
There is also an opening window on the right side for a fresh air feed, while a multi-function joystick controls all the major loader functions.
The R070 will set you back £36,355, while it’s £40,587 if you want the larger R090.
