Kuhn has added a brace of vertical-fold models to its range of rear mowers, having previously only offered them with a horizontal pivot.

The eight-disc GMD 3515 and nine-disc 4015 are the first to be available in this guise and offer respective cutting widths of 3.5m and 3.95m.

Benefits of being able to swing the bed upwards through 125deg for transport include better weight balance and a far shorter rear overhang, which will make it safer on the road – particularly when turning into gateways.

It should also save a bit of space in the shed over winter.

Beyond that, the mowers are unchanged, with the same centre-pivot mounting for the beds, “lift control” suspension and the firm’s Optidisc Elite cutterbar.

List price for a GMD 3515 is £18,705.
