Minigrazer offers small-scale zero grazing option

Hand Engineering has developed a pint-sized zero grazing machine, which it launched at the National Ploughing Championships in Ireland.
Two versions of the Minigrazer are available; a 5cu m capacity machine with a 2.1m-wide drum mower and a 4.5cu m version with a 1.85m mower. Both run on 500mm flotation tyres for extra wet ground buoyancy.Â
The larger model can hold 1t of grass and has a sloping floor and unique door design that apparently provides easy unloading. It can also be adapted for use as a trailed mower for managing meadows and other crops.

Hand says the Minigrazer can run on low-horsepower tractors or electric/hybrid systems to reduce its carbon footprint, which will be important for municipal applications.
The Minigrazer is priced at €24,000 (£21,300), including VAT.
