A new Vario Volume extension system that offers more mixing space for bulky materials such as straw bales is now available on most of BvL’s mixer wagon range.

The attachment sits on top of the mixing tub and is hydraulically raised to offer 30cm extra height when mixing, which increases a twin auger mixer’s capacity by 3.5cu m. This should reduce the likelihood of the mix spilling out on to the floor.

When the ration is ready, the flexible sides can be dropped again to allow access to low-roofed buildings.

Models that miss out on the new option tend to be the biggest ones in each of the single- and twin-auger ranges, with all triple auger mixers excluded.

Prices for the bolt-on bits range between £3,100 and £3,500.
