More capacity for BvL self-propelled diet feeder
Bigger ration mixes are now possible with BvL’s V-Mix Drive Maximus Plus self-propelled diet feeder, following the introduction of a higher-volume tub.
It will mix up to 25cu m of grub in one go, comfortably bettering the previous range-topper’s 21cu m capacity.

Like the firm’s other twin-auger wagons, it is powered by a six-cylinder, 224hp FPT engine; smaller single-auger models, which start at 11cu m, make do with four cylinders and 128hp.
And there’s no change to the rest of the spec either, which still features BvL’s tine-tipped loading head to comb rather than bite silage from the clamp face.
There’s also a “creep speed” function to dial down maximum travel speed, increasing accelerator pedal sensitivity when manoeuvring around the clamp or discharging along a feed barrier.
And there’s an automatic mixing mode, which allows operators to set auger rpm and mixing time, after which the engine will drop to a steady idle, reducing unnecessary diesel consumption.
