Dalbo UK takes on distribution of APV spreaders and grass kit

Having supplied a handful of UK dealers direct for several years, Austrian spreader and implement maker APV has appointed a distributor to manage sales and logistics.

Dalbo UK has taken on the role, handling another manufacturer’s range for the first time, as an opportunity to expand the business with products complementary to those from the Danish firm.

Steve Atkin, Dalbo UK’s general manager, explains: “Dalbo’s product range is focused largely on heavy-duty tillage equipment whereas APV’s implements are more aligned with grassland and livestock farming, as well as lighter cultivations.

“We’ve had a good response from our dealers to the prospect of supplying the APV equipment.”

APV is best known in the UK for the bright yellow hoppers of its PS small seed and micro-granule spinners, often used as a retrofit or by OEMs to broadcast from cultivators and other host implements.

But the company also makes grass harrows and multi-element pasture groomers for rejuvenating tired grassland, and this year introduced a range of hoes for a variety of crops using blades or spike wheels to dislodge weeds.

The Pneumatic Seeder XD is another newcomer – a 4,200-litre steel hopper and metering system that can be used as a demount unit on self-propelled sprayers for full-width boom seed or fertiliser broadcasting.
