McConnel launches new 70hp 67-series hedgecutter range
McConnel had added to its Power Arm hedgecutter line-up with a new range that bridges the gap between its popular 65- and 70-series machines.
The 67-series is aimed at farmers and contractors, with a 70hp hydraulic system and the option of arms with 5-7m reach.

Among the new design features is a restyled hydraulic tank that incorporates a two-piece rear guard to give easier access for maintenance.
There is also a curved top cover made from impact-resistant plastic that’s designed to minimise material build-up and prevent ingress of dust and moisture.
Customers can choose from five arms, with 5.5m and 6m fixed booms catering for the smaller end, and 6.5m and 7m telescopics for those who want more reach.
There is also the option of 6m variable forward reach version that allows operators to position the flail head alongside the cab for better visibility. All models come as standard with power slew.
Three different control packages are available, including the entry-level Motion system with basic proportional control, a fancier Evolution joystick, and the range-topping Revolution setup with integrated screen.
The latter comes with the firm’s Easy Drive System, which helps operators work faster when mowing verges.
All models are built with a heavy-duty mainframe that is designed for three-point linkage mounting. However, there is the option of adding a four-point hitch or five-point axle sub-frame to improve stability.
Several attachments are available, including 1.2m, 1.5m and 1.6m flail heads, saw and rotary heads, and cutter bars.Â
