Kuhn has bolstered its modest range of Multi-Longer hedge and verge cutters with a new flagship 7.4m horizontal reach machine.

The clumsily-named GII 7457 E-TPAL uses a parallelogram pivot-mounted arm and is the first of the firm’s trimmers to have a telescoping boom function.

It also features a 57hp hydraulic motor, 21kW air-cooled radiator with double heat exchanger and a 1.2m reinforced belt-driven head as standard. Options extend to a four-function electric joystick, contour following using hydropneumatic lift control and a 1.5m flail head.

The company suggests pairing it with a 120hp tractor using the Stabi-Link quick-hitch axle mounting kit to improve stability and simplify the job of coupling-up.
