Evoquip launches monster concrete crusher
Concrete crushers may not be a staple machine on every UK farm, but if you have miles of tracks that need a birthday, hiring or buying one could save thousands in labour costs.
Construction company Evoquip has launched a replacement to its Cobra 230 crusher with the introduction of the 290, which runs from a huge 315hp Volvo engine and is capable of 290t/hour.

Capable of handling all sorts of material, including concrete, tarmac, coal and rock, it has a Terex impact crusher with a massive 1,000×1,034mm rotor and components from other machines in the Terex range.
The crusher also has a hydraulic overload system that helps limit uncrushable objects entering, while a hinged inlet lets the operator control the feed and reduces the chance of shoving in too much in one go.
There is a choice of screen systems to make sure the end product is the desired size, while the operator can move the machine remotely from the excavator cab without having to shut it down.
