CNH parts with Pecks
CNH has served G&J Peck with a 12-month termination notice as it looks to restructure its dealer network in the area.
Until that time, Pecks will continue to sell New Holland and Case IH machinery from its six depots – two in both Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, plus single sites in Norfolk and Suffolk.
The dealership intends to provide CNH parts and service after that period, and its other other franchises, including JCB, Amazone and Krone, are unaffected.
Ernest Doe acquires Burdens outlets
Ernest Doe & Sons is to acquire two branches from fellow-New Holland dealer Burdens Group.
Both are in Lincolnshire, at Sutterton for the east and south of the county, and in North Kyme in the west.
The depots will be supported by Doe’s Littleport outlet in Cambridgeshire, an hour south of Sutterton.
Sharmans extends Claydon territory
Sharmans Agricultural has taken on Claydon sales and support in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire – the area previously covered by the now-defunct Collings Brothers dealership.
All eight Sharmans depots – spread across Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire – now sell Claydon’s drills and associate wares, including the new purpose-built facility at Pattishall near Towcester.

Malpas Tractors bags AVR and Scanstone
Spud-related gear from Belgian firm AVR is now available from Malpas Tractors, ending the dealership’s nine-year association with Grimme.
The agreement will see it sell the green-liveried cultivators, toppers, planters, harvesters and store loading equipment throughout Lancashire, Cheshire, north Wales and South Yorkshire.
Malpas has also signed as a Scanstone dealer for the west of England, where it will offer destoners, bed tillers and bed formers in Lancashire, Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire.
CC Agricultural Engineering goes green

RC Setchfield shuts up shop
Grantham-based business RC Setchfield has closed its doors for the last time, ending a 40-year stint in the game.
It was only appointed a Deutz-Fahr dealer last year, but that arrangement had fizzled out by January. The decision to wind down was apparently driven by the retirement of proprietor Richard Setchfield.
Merlo customers are being pointed to the nearest dealer, Cooks Midlands, and Kioti customers to Robert H Crawford & Sons.
Bale Baron to sell Agronic kit
Bale Baron UK has taken on distribution of Agronic implements in Britain.
This includes the Finnish firm’s WR rakes, slurry tankers, balers and stone pickers, some of which were previously sold by Henderson Agri Services.
Arrangements in Northern Ireland are unchanged, with George Hamilton Machinery retaining exclusive import rights.
RVT becomes Grimme service partner
Rea Valley Tractors (RVT) has been appointed a “premium service partner” for Grimme in Lancashire.
The firm’s Ormskirk branch will deal with the added after-sales support, which includes stocking a full range of replacement parts and providing quicker support to farmers in the region. Grimme UK will manage sales in the area directly.
There’s no change to RVT’s arrangement in Derbyshire and Staffordshire, where it has been selling the firm’s root crop equipment from its Sudbury depot for the past 18 years.
Construction has also been completed on a new facility to house RVT Commercial Vehicles in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
The showroom will complement the existing workshop, which shares the same site as Rea Valley Tractors, and will support Isuzu sales and aftermarket services.

The company says it is working to find jobs for the five full-time members of staff; its other site at Marston Moretaine, Bedford, is unaffected.
Redrock partners with Agquip
Northern Irish manufacturer Redrock Machinery is to manufacture Agquip’s umbilical reelers and applicators at its refurbished factory in Armagh, having been using the dribble bars and trailing shoes on its tanker for well over a decade.
Agquip will use its Ballymoney site for the research, development and testing of new products.
The move concludes a busy few months for Redrock, which recently acquired the assets of financially stricken KTwo and its Warwick Trailers brand, gaining it a vast range of trailers and muckspreaders.
