Pottinger adds front knife roller to Terradisc harrows
Pottinger’s Terradisc harrow range, which spans working widths up to 6m, is now available with a knife roller that can be retrofitted to implements from the 2018 model year onwards.
It is designed to be used as a pre-tool for seed-bed preparation, stubble cultivation and incorporating cover crops, with the front roller comprising a series of knives arranged in a spiral pattern.
These rotate to ensure constant and even contact with the ground.
It has a diameter of 350mm, which the manufacturer says ensures they spin quickly and deliver consistent chopping quality, and its working depth is adjusted hydraulically.
When the knife roller is not needed it can be folded away so it is not in contact with the soil.
No modifications are needed to fit the knife roller to the Terradisc 4001 T, 5001 T and 6001 T trailed compact models, as all required mounting points are already on the machines.
