Flexible wheel helps seed placement on Vaderstad Tempo

A new rubber wheel to help seed-to-soil contact at high sowing speeds has been added to Vaderstad’s Tempo maize drills.
The Prostop wheel has rubber spokes to help press the seed into the terrace and, at the same time, limit disturbance to the furrow sidewall.

Shock from ground contact is absorbed by the flexible spokes at the core of the wheel, unlike other designs that are solid and can end up flattening the outer profile of the wheel.
The new option has been available on all Tempo planters since June and can be retrofitted on Tempo drills built this year.
