Kverneland introduces tougher mounted plough series
Kverneland has expanded its mounted plough range with the ES250/LS250, which is designed to handle a little more tractor power than the existing 200-badged models.
The company has added strength across the five- and six-furrow models with a Cat 3 clevis-type lower hitch assembly and square-section cross-shaft, which means they should be a good match for tractors of up to 250hp.
The 250s also benefit from a hardened turn-over assembly offering three times the strength of the 200 models without any weight penalty.

A memory-type 100mm vari-width control cylinder, which already features on KV’s bigger ploughs, is also now fitted.
Elsewhere, underbeam clearance has grown to 75cm on the ES250 and the LS250 is slightly higher at 80cm, while all the versions can be specified with 85cm or 100cm point-to-point clearance depending on surface trash.
ES models offer auto reset protection, while LS models use shear-bolts.
Hydraulic front furrow width adjustment, quick-adjust maize skimmers and an 18in plain rear disc complete the package for the new ploughs.
Prices for the five-furrow ES250 start at £30,789 and the shear-bolt-protected LS five-furrow is £27,918.
