KV adds in-furrow models to Ecomat shallow plough range
Kverneland has added a trio of new models to its Ecomat shallow plough range.
The six-, seven- and eight-furrow versions are built for in-furrow use, whereas the existing eight- and 10-furrow derivatives are on-land only.
The Ecomats are designed to invert almost all the soil (95% at 9cm deep, reckons KV) at typical cultivator depths of between 6cm and 18cm.

This means they should still provide an effective mechanical means of controlling pests and weeds, yet they are significantly easier to pull than a traditional plough.
Hydraulic adjustment of the furrow width – from 25-45cm – means six mouldboards can cover up to 2.7m, seven can be pushed to 3.15m and the eight-body version spans 3.6m.
The spec includes auto-reset leg protection as standard, with a HD spring pack available for tougher ground conditions. There’s also the option of pairing it with a Packomat press.
Prices for the six-furrow model start from £41,713.
