Weaving launches new-look Shortdisc cultivator

Weaving has debuted a new Shortdisc cultivator designed to mix trash to a depth of 150mm.

It comes in three widths – 3m, 4m and 5m – and features two rows of 560mm concave discs, spaced at 125mm intervals and mounted on rubber shock absorbers. There is a 1m gap between the rows, which should help to improve trash flow.

At the rear is a strengthened 700mm V-ring roller, and hydraulic depth control comes with the use of spacers on the ram.

The 4m and 5m models fold hydraulically for road transport and Weaving offers the option of a Magnum seeder to drill oilseed rape, grass or cover crops.

Prices for the new Shortdisc start at £9,800 for the rigid 3000M, which requires 130hp, and rise to £16,800 for the folding 5000M.
