Vaderstad TopDown gets extra packer and stronger frame
An updated version of the Vaderstad TopDown progressive cultivator will be unveiled with an additional packer option, reinforced frame, new hydraulics and stronger tine arms.
The implement’s concept remains unchanged: progressively deeper cultivation using a disc module to slice and mix the topsoil; tine cultivation to 30cm or more aggressively to 40cm depending upon soil restructuring needs; and reconsolidation to conserve moisture and encourage chitting of weed and crop seeds.

Vaderstad says the uprated hydraulics with enlarged accumulators ensure more intensive loosening, distributing and mixing of soil, irrespective of the conditions on the field, while the revised levelling board is said to work more effectively.
The new double SteelRunner packer is designed to break clods and reconsolidate at depth, with an open design to avoid bulldozing and for low draught.
