He-Va Disc Rollers promise more even ground consolidation
He-Va has updated its Disc Roller range for 2017 to improve contour following during shallow cultivations.
While the new version uses a lot of the same elements as its predecessor, it now incorporates He-Va’s active transfer system from its roller range, along with hydraulic depth adjustment and an automatic angle adjustment system.
The combination should help the machine follow field contours and provide even consolidation across the full working width.

Model sizes have changed to tie in with controlled-traffic systems. Working widths of 3.25m, 4.25m, 5.25m, 6.25m and 7.75m are available, with each machine using a press roller 0.25m wider than the discs.
To reduce blocking in damp conditions, an extra 75mm clearance has been added between each row of discs and the roller.
Alongside the standard single row of V-profile rings, the Contour Twin model will incorporate different roller options. A twin V- or U-profile ring can be specified to suit different soils and a shatter board can be added to break down clods on previously worked land.
Trailed and mounted versions are available from 2.25m to 7.75m, with larger models due later in 2017. As a guide, a trailed 6.25m version retails at £39,104.
