Lamma 2025: Sumo toolbar offers adaptable lifting and seeding
Buyers in the market for a close-coupled toolbar have a new model to consider – the Sumo Yet-To-Be-Named.
Displaying the tool for the first time at this year’s Lamma show, the Yorkshire firm put the task of branding it in the hands of visitors, so we’ll need to wait a little longer to find out the result.

As for the function of the machine, it’s designed to be either front- or rear-mounted and comes with leading discs and a row of auto-reset legs.
The latter are mounted on adjustable pivots that can be set to 0deg, 3deg or 6deg and feature seeding boots with outlets at three different heights.
This allows it to be used as a simple drill, or for placing fertiliser in the seed-bed ahead of a drill carried behind.
Working depth is controlled using turnbuckles or optional hydraulic rams on the support wheels, with separate pin-and-hole adjustment on the discs and legs.
It can be fitted with bridging hydraulic pipes and a pto gearbox to transfer power to implements hooked to the back.
Prices are yet to be announced, but we know it will be available in 3m, 4m and 6m working widths.
