Kuhn extends Prolander tine cultivator to 14.2m
Kuhn has upped the potential output of its Prolander tine cultivators by introducing three new models at the top of the range.
The additions of the 9000, 12000 and 14000, with widths of 9.2m, 12.2m and 14.2m, mean there are now a total of eight to pick from – starting at a princely 4m.
According to Kuhn, the implements have proved popular because of their ability to work on both stubble and ground that has been ploughed or pre-cultivated.

Power requirements are said to be roughly 25-35hp/m, depending on the working depth. This can range from 3cm to 12cm.
Tine options include a new 90x13mm S-tooth for ripping stubbles and incorporating surface material, as well as a 70x12mm S-shaped design and 60mm or 200mm goose foot.
These are paired with either a Double U or Double Tube roller to consolidate the ground.
The original five Prolanders, running from 4m to 7.5m, can also be specced with a 600-litre hopper to sow cover crops in the same pass.
To do that with the larger models, the company recommends running a front tank – Kuhn’s offering is the TF 1512.
Prices for a 9.2m Prolander 9000 start at £83,000.
