Agriweld develops trailed Min-Dis subsoiler

A 6m trailed model has been developed to complement Agriweld’s tractor-mounted Min-Dis subsoilers for growers wanting extra capacity and daily output.
The implement has a parallel linkage drawbar and mid-mounted transport wheels attached to a two-beam backbone chassis, with connections keeping the machine level front-to-back when lifted out of work.
A zig-zag frame with leading support wheels positions the slim subsoiling legs in a staggered formation for trash clearance, with a replaceable shin, point and wing assembly lifting the soil so that in the right conditions it shatters upon settling back down.

The legs are protected either by a hydraulic auto-reset system that enables them to be held out of work if required, or by traditional shear-bolts or Agriweld’s Snap-Bar mechanism, and there is hydraulic depth adjustment.

Each leg – here with auto-reset – is preceded by a trash-cutting disc © Agriweld
Each leg is preceded by a notched concave disc, set at a slight angle and mounted in a single row across a height-adjustable toolbar at the front, with rubber inserts in the mounting clamps allowing a degree of movement.
The discs are positioned to cut through vegetation and a few millimetres into the soil to allow the legs to pass through at up to 300mm deep with minimal disturbance at the surface.
Behind the mid-mounted transport wheels, shod with generous flotation tyres, the company’s Agri-Packer roller at the back is designed to leave a weatherproof surface.
Its Easy-Clean scraper bar can be set to fine tolerances to remove clinging soil and minimise the risk of transferring blackgrass and other seeds to another field.
Centre folding brings the main frame and packer to a vertical position for transport.
Complete with auto-reset leg protection, the 6m Min-Dis is priced from £77,995.
