Agritechnica 2023: Zocon extends range with 15m tined weeder
A surge in demand for mechanical weeders sent all the major European cultivator makers scrambling to acquire ranges of their own.
And joining the likes of Amazone, Kverneland, Pottinger and Kuhn is Dutch outfit Zocon, which has developed a new fully galvanised line-up headlined by a high-output 15m model.

The company says its priority was to cram in as many 7mm-diameter sprung tines as possible. There are 638 in all, spread across the seven rows of the hydraulically controlled subframe.
These provide an effective spacing of just 22mm, and their pressure can be varied from a gentle 100kg for light, early season harrowing, up to 5kg for braking tough surface crusts around deep-rooted and well-established crops in late spring.
As well as the near-3t 15m model on show, the firm offers 3m, 9m and 12m versions, which it sells alongside inter-row Greenseeder grass drills.
