Conor launches new slurry tankers
Conor Engineering of Co Clare, Ireland, has added four new tandem-axle slurry tankers to its range. These range from 9550-16,360 litres (2100-3600gals) and the company says they were specifically designed for the latest high-speed tractors.
They have anti-surge baffles, adjustable sprung drawbars, high speed axles and parabolic heavy-duty springs. They are designed to keep the tanker body as close to the axle as possible to give a low centre of gravity and improve stability.
The company says it has also developed a new low-cost trailing shoe and dribble bar. This 7m unit uses a Vogelsang distributor to give constant feed to each outlet and is aimed at small-to-medium farms as it can be fitted to any size of tank. Conor also offers a stepped axle as an optional extra on its single axle tankers, which lowers the tanks centre of gravity and gives it greater stability.
Price for the 13,640 litre (3000gal) model on 600/55 x 26.5 Alliance Tires speed tyres is ÂŁ15,000. The stepped axle costs ÂŁ700. The 7m trailing shoe is ÂŁ8800.
