Cereals 2014: Weaving reveals updated subsoiler
Weaving was showing the latest incarnation of its subsoiler-disc combination. The Subdisc II is only available in fully-mounted guise from 3m-5m and uses low draft McConnel Shakeaerator legs to crack packed soil.
Scalloped discs deal with topsoil loosening behind the legs, but hydraulic rams can lift them fully out of work where necessary. The discs also run on sealed-for-life bearings to try and trim down the long-term running costs. A full-width, Guttler-style roller tidies up at the tail.
The 3m version shown on the Cereals stand costs around £10,800 and needs at least 140 Italian stallions at the front.
