Cereals 2012 new kit: Simtech Aitchison T-Sem drill

Based on technology from the Aitchison grass drills manufactured in New Zealand, the UK-built drill is available in 3, 4.8 and 6m widths.

The Sulky hopper on top is now decked out in Simtech colours and will hold 1,000-litres on the smallest and 1,700-litres on the larger folding versions.

The company says the drill has been designed primarily for work directly into stubbles, but can be used just as effectively in other conditions.

The standard configuration is a cutting disc (which can be swapped for a rubber roller for work on cultivated ground) followed by inverted ‘T’ slot coulters spread over three rows. A 16-row, 3m T-Sem will set you back £24,450.
