As the Queen celebrates her Diamond Jubilee this weekend it seems fitting to pay tribute to some of her fine and resilient farm machinery manufacturers.

While many of Britain’s once-proud industrial institutions sit inert and crumbling, many of its farm machinery makers are going great guns.Our Best of British series celebrates these success stories, delving into their pasts, eyeing up their current product range and taking a peek at some of their future projects.

Over 20 firms that are either British owned or manufacture products in the UK have already been featured, including JCB, Sumo, Chafer and Cousins of Emneth.
