Big Bale North accumulator lifts and stacks big bales
Big Bale North was showing a new bale accumulator from German maker TST.
Capable of handling any big square bale, it lifts up the first bale, then lets the next one go in underneath.
It then lifts up the two bales to let a third one in underneath and so on. Five bales can be handled, four in the stack and one on the bale bed.
It’s a pretty automated system. The operator selects the number of bales he want to stack, the machine will then automatically stack them and then drop the stack on to the ground even while the machine is moving.
It also continues working while it goes round corners.
Cost of a tandem axle model with 15.0/55-17 tyres costs about £36,000.
