Yamaha updates Kodiak ATVs and Wolverine UTV

Yamaha has added more options and features to its ATV and UTV line-up for 2023.

The Kodiak 450 and 700 ATVs are now both available with electric power steering and a locking differential to improve handling and performance on difficult terrain.

Opting for these increases the list price to £8,550 – £850 more than the standard model.

The rest of the spec remains as before, with the 450 sporting a 421cc engine, two-range CVT driveline and 600kg towing capacity. The 700 gets a pokier 686cc petrol, but otherwise offers broadly similar working credentials.

Also new is a revised Grizzly 700 ATV with second-generation 686cc engine and upgraded 14in wheels.

The whole range comes with a 10-year drive-belt warranty and a Datatool tracking device – although owners will still have to pay £99 for it to be installed by a dealer.

There is also a £9.95 monthly fee to maintain the service and access to the 24-hours-a-day operation centre.

The firm is offering free ATV rider competency training from the European All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute (EASI) to anyone that purchases a new machine.

UTV upgrades

On the UTV side, there’s an upgraded Wolverine RMAX 1000 in both SE and LE (limited edition) specifications. Both models get a new VRX 45 winch, front bumper, interior lighting and a dash mounted USB charger.

The LE is fitted with adjustable Fox 2 iQS suspension with three settings – comfort, medium or firm – that can be altered from the cab.

It also has a “speed management” key that allows owners to set a 25kph limit without affecting power.

It gets the same powertrain as the regular model, with a 999cc petrol engine and two-speed CVT, and matches its 272kg cargo box capacity and 907kg towing limit.

The SE version costs £22,500 – which is £3,000 more than standard.
