Quadcrate ATV cab saves farmers from wind and rain

Farmers sick of a winter-long battering from the elements when checking and feeding livestock now have the option of fitting a 1.2m-wide windscreen and roof to their regular ATV.

Northern Irish firm Quadcrate’s semi-enclosed Bubble Cab is made from galvanised 32mm steel tube with non-fade, shatter-proof polycarbonate screens, which are apparently near-indestructible and far longer-lasting than Perspex equivalents.

Their strength also helps stiffen the frame, which may help protect a rider in the case of a rollover. However, a helmet must still be worn, says the firm’s Will Allingham.

The kit come with bolted mounts for the front and rear racks of any quad bike and, as it weighs just 28kg, is well inside the carrying capacity of the framework.

There’s also the option of fitting an enclosed window on either the left or right, depending on which side the rider prefers to get on and off.

Further add-ons include wing mirrors, front and rear LED lights, and a road-legal kit.

Prices range from £1,350 to £1,650.

The company also makes a range of other ATV attachments, including wire unrollers, transport boxes, post holders and wire tensioners.
