A new fertiliser spreader has been developed by Quad-X specifically for use with UTVs.

The commercial-spec UTV Sower has a steel frame and 680-litre hopper with a ground-driven spreading system, which means forward speed controls the revolutions of the spreading disc and thus the spreading width.

It will reach a maximum of 15m and, handily, the shutter plate can be operated from the UTV. There is also a lever to disengage the spinner for travel.

It has extra-wide axles and the hopper has been mounted as low as possible to improve stability on hillside pasture. There are also flotation tyres to help travel on soft ground.
