Powerful Fugleman UTV joins Segway range
The recently established Powersports division of Chinese firm Segway is wasting no time in expanding its UK offering, with the debut Snarler ATV now joined by a seriously pokey petrol UTV.
The three-seat U10TX Deluxe Fugleman will be up against some stiff competition from the likes of Can-Am’s Traxter HD10 and Polaris’ bonkers-quick Ranger XP1000.

However, the newcomer looks to have pipped them both in the power stakes, with its 1,000cc four-stroke petrol engine offering a small-car-rivalling 105hp and 100Nm. By comparison, the XP1000 and HD10 both top out at about 82hp.
Handily, the Fugleman is also equipped with a powerful engine braking system that should help users safely descend hills.
It offers ground clearance of 320mm, 279mm of suspension travel and has a locking front differential for particularly gnarly terrain, while the 2,085mm wheelbase is a close match for the Polaris Ranger XP1000 (2,060mm) and shorter than the equivalent Can-Am (2,115mm).
As for load lugging, towing capacity is rated at 1,134kg and the load bed is good for 450kg, which should be adequate for carting small square bales and feed bags.
The enclosed cab houses an unusual amount of technology by UTV standards, including a touchscreen control system and access to Segway Powersports’ app to programme driving modes and view stats such as horsepower, torque, range, mileage and speed.
Prices for the Fugleman start at £14,999 (including VAT) and it is available through the growing network of Segway Powersports dealerships.Â
