Honda updates Foreman ATVs
Honda has added two new models to its Foreman ATV range – the manual-shift TRX500FM and electric-shift TRX500FE.
The water-cooled 475cc, 27hp single-cylinder four-stroke engines have been given a higher compression ratio to provide more low-down power when pulling away with heavier loads. There’s a new fuel injection system, too.
The rear suspension is new and combines a new steel swing-arm design and single shock absorber to give 174mm travel and better comfort, precision and work capability.
Both front and rear shock absorbers are adjustable and pre-loadable, allowing the user to set personal preferences according to terrain and the task in hand.
The new Foreman has a different look and feel, too, says the company, with new body styling and a more open appearance.
The new ATVs will be available from the end of September. Prices are the same as for their predecessors until the end of 2011 – ÂŁ6,515 for the TRX500FM and ÂŁ6,835 for the TRX500FE.
