Bigger cargo bed for latest John Deere Gator UTV
John Deere has redesigned the load bed for its latest three-seat Gator UTV, the XUV 875M.
This model is largely identical to the 865M it replaces, with the same 854cc, 23hp diesel engine and 50kph-rated two-range stepless transmission.
In fact, the only notable change as far as the undercarriage goes is a tweak to the independent rear suspension that has apparently improved comfort.

The air intake has also been raised by 30cm to reduce the amount of dust and debris sucked into the system.
As for the rear deck, this is 13% bigger than that of the 865M – gained predominantly in width – but is rated to the same 454kg carrying limit.
It comes with a handful of natty features, including a 12V power port, all manner of tie-down and clamping points to secure cargo, and a revamped tailgate.
This is now flat, allowing it to double-up as a work bench with metric and imperial measurements, a V-shaped groove for cutting pipe, bump stops and cup holders.
The new model will be available through John Deere dealers from this spring, priced £31,325 with a cab but no doors, £35,976 with doors, and £40,533 for an enclosed cab with heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
