Amazone to show biggest sprayer on UK market

Amazone’s huge tandem-axled UX 11200 trailed sprayer, first seen at the Agritechnica show in Germany in 2011, will be showing off its capacious contours at next month’s Lamma show. It holds a massive 12,000 litres of liquid, so is ideal for anyone who has an aversion to fill-ups.

Key features are hydro-pneumatic axle suspension with anti-roll stabilisers and big 520mm wide, 1.95m-diameter tyres. It’s rated for 40kph on the road, with an auto braking force regulator and a support load of up to 3t on the hitch drawbar coupling.

Steering options include a single steering rear axle and a pukka electronically controlled double-axle steering. The latter gives true track-following that should be ideal for use in beet or potato crops, says the company.

Despite having 12t of liquid to transport, the sprayer has a low centre of gravity helped by a 1,000-litre fresh water tank located between the two axles. Eight internal cleaning nozzles keep things clean and auto fill stop, agitation intensity control and auto cleaning are standard.

A 750 litres/min pump system should give good agitation and a suction capacity of 900 litres/min via the 100mm suction port should reduce filling times. Booms go up to 40m and list prices start at £110,067 for the 24m version.
